Amazing Champs
Amazing Champs Community Group is a grassroots, healthcare-led organisation based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, dedicated to empowering families and individuals facing hardship due to immigration status and related barriers. Founded by a team of experienced healthcare professionals — including a mental health nurse, registered care providers, a safeguarding lead, and a qualified counsellor — we bring compassion, clinical insight, and lived experience to every aspect of our work.
We exist to create safe, inclusive spaces where families can access trauma-informed support, mental health resources, and practical assistance as they navigate complex systems and settle into the community. Our work is rooted in dignity, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to social justice.
Through outreach, workshops, and collaborative partnerships, we:
* Raise awareness of immigration-related challenges and promote understanding across Oldham.
* Support mental health and emotional resilience through culturally appropriate interventions.
* Share daily job opportunities and offer career development support to improve economic mobility.
* Reduce food insecurity and poverty through direct aid and advocacy.
* Empower young people and kinship carers with skills, mentoring, and digital inclusion.

OUR MISSION
At Amazing Champs Community Group, our mission is to empower and uplift Black and minority families in Oldham who face hardship due to immigration status and systemic barriers. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, trauma-informed, and equitable environment where every individual feels seen, supported, and valued.
Through culturally responsive outreach, safeguarding advocacy, and targeted community initiatives, we promote mental well-being, social integration, and economic opportunity. Our work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and a belief that every person deserves the chance to thrive — regardless of background or circumstance
